We have Abroad Leering Opportunities for Higher Education: The College helps its students to be in touch with various Universities abroad for their further education. From this year two students from BSc (Biochemistry) program are going to Korea under full scholarship scheme & many other students are in US, UK, Australia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Russia, China, Canada, India, Sri Lanka etc.

Class Timings:

UC runs its all classes in the morning and day shifts. The Morning classes start at 6.15 and day classes at 10:30.

Classrooms

All the classrooms are carpeted and ceiling fans are installed to make the classrooms comfortable. All student are given single desk and chair.

Science Laboratories

To facilitate students for practical classes the Science Stream has Chemistry, Physics and Biology (Zoology and Botany) laboratories which are modern and well equipped.

UC library provides students and teachers with a variety of services and up-to-date collection of course and reference books, periodicals, government publications.





Educational Tour:

Every year Universal College organizes Educational Tours to Nepal and India in order to help gain the practical knowledge and fact. Last year our student visited important industries and towns of Bombay and Goa in India.

Computer Facility:

UC has got enough modern Pentium IV computer with 24 hours internet facilities. Beside the credit course in computer prescribed by HSEB and TU, UC also conducts non-credit computer course on request




Student ID card

The college will issues a Student ID Card to each student at the time of registration.

Extra - Curricular Activities:

Various extra-curricular activities are organized by the Student Council through Activity Clubs, such as:

Basketball Club, Football Club, Volleyball Club, Badminton Club Cricket Club, Table-tennis Club Quiz Club, Drama Club, Public Speaking Club, Creative Writers’ Club, Entertainment Club (Farewell and Welcome) etc.

Cafeteria:

UC cafeteria provides facilities for lunch and light refreshments at subsidized costs.

Transport:

Transportation within the Ring Road of Kathmandu Valley is available at a subsidized rate on request.

Scholarships:

Universal provides a number of scholarships to the needy and deserving students based on the following categories:

  • Outstanding Merit Scholarship: (100% off).
  • High Merit Scholarship: (50% off).
  • Merit Scholarship: (25% off).
  • Underprivileged Scholarship.
Beside these scholarships, Universal Education Foundation, a non-profit organization, also provides scholarships to the deprived and deserving students.

Merit Prizes:

In addition to scholarship awards, the following Merit Scholarships are given to the students on the basis of their academic performance, general conduct and overall performance in their second year of education.

  • Principal's Shield for Grade XI Students
  • Meritorious Students of the Year for Grade XI Students
  • Universal Topper Awards (Two)

Fee Structure:

The college fee structure is moderate. All the students from different classes can join UC.

Hostel:

Separate Hostels are arranged for boys and girls.

Discipline:

UC students are required to comply with codes and conduct prescribed by the college.

Attendance:

Each student should have a minimum of 90% attendance in each subject in order to appear in the Board Exams.

Sent-up Examination:

All the students must pass the sent-up examination by securing 40% marks in each subject to be qualified for the concerned Board Exams.

Progress Report:

Progress Reports of all Examinations and Sent-up will only be given to the parents/guardians. They are welcome to meet and discuss with the respective subject teachers and the Principal on the performance of their wards.

Holidays:

Holidays are listed in the Academic Calendar which will be given to students at the time of Orientation.
