Prof. Khagendra Prasad Bhattarai Chairperson, Management Committee	Education promotes material as well as spiritual enhancement of human beings. A nation can prosper even without natural resources if it has efficient and trained manpower. Japan in Asia and Switzerland in Europe are examples in support. Modern style education is a relatively recent phenomenon in our country, and the private sector has made tremendous contributions in this respect. Universal College, a private educational institution established in 2054, runs various academic programs from +2 to Postgraduate levels. We are confident that these programs will definitely help our students' personality and leadership development. The college aims at meeting the demands of students for quality education in the global context. We are dedicated toward fulfilling this aim and we are capable of doing so. We have highly experienced as well as young and brilliant faculty members, and their dedication, devotion and innovative pedagogic skills have brought about a sea change in our students. Prof. Dr. Vishwanath Prasad Agrawal B.Sc. Program Director	Dear Students/Guardians, I avail myself of this opportunity to communicate to you my impressions of running for the last 7 years the B.Sc. Biochemistry program of Universal Science College, which is affiliated to Pokhara University. ( www.uscollege.edu.np ). The very special and attractive feature of our program is that students perform various research works in the last semester. It is one of the best programs in the country with a very reasonable fee structure. I am happy to inform you that several of our students are pursuing higher studies in India, Australia, Korea, Japan, Europe and the United States. Last year I was luckily elected to the Constituent Assembly. But I have kept strong vigilance on the Biochemistry program and continued to supervise students' research and college administration. We are very strongly committed to making it a dynamic and modern institution in Nepal by providing high quality education in a friendly, helpful, and personalized environment. Our classes are small, providing students with the opportunity for individual assistance by lecturers and tutors, as well as encouraging maximum student confidence and participation. As a result, we have got a very strong support from our students and parents. In the end I request new students who have passed +2 Science to consider Universal Science College for higher studies in the field of Biochemistry.
