Students of Universal College Fly High
The science faculty students of Universal College, Maitidevi, Kathmandu flew a helicopter within the college premises.
The experimentation was carried out as a part of the two day science exhibition and food festival being held at the college. The exhibition was held on 19 and 20 June. Naveen Dhital, Riyush Adhikari, Hulas Gurung, Sandesh Aryal and Anil Rayamajhi, the students of the +2 Science faculty and members of the junior researcher group of the college, were responsible for the whole experiment. The pilot of the helicopter was Naveen Dhital who stepped into the cockpit and flew the engine almost three feet above the ground.
The students also explained to the audience in detail of the formulas and the method used in preparing the engine. The two day festival at the college drew some 20,000 visitors claimed the organizers.
Universal College gives guidelines on carrier to SLC graduates
Universal College, Maitidevi, Kathmandu, organized a program entitled "Career Guideline for Higher Education" at Royal Academy, Kamaladi on Thursday June 17.
The program saw a huge participation of senior professors, namely prof. Khagendra Prasad Bhatttarai, Dr. Shiba Datta Gnawali, Prof. Dr. Shreedhar Prasad Lohani, and Prof. Dr. Padma P. Devkota. The professors gave students guidelines on carrier options and choices.
At the event over 90 graduates of the college were felicitated by the minister and senior professors. |
